ANNE-MARIE - biography

Born in England of an Italian Mother and a French father, Anne-Marie is the true European!

Having trained with the respected Tenor Ivor Evans, which helped to develop her very distinctive voice, which drew the attention of EMI who signed her up after being spotted by a Talent Scout, who ironically was at the Marquee Club in London looking at another artiste, when he met a friend who told him that he had just seen fantastic singer performing at the 12 Bar club around the corner, he hot footed to the club and was blown away, he signed her two days later!

Unfortunately, after the first single was released, the A&R guy left EMI, so Anne-Marie decided to leave as well, as he was her mentor.

It was some years later that she bumped into Mark Winters of Active Music Management who got chatting to her and invited her along to the studio to have a session with Karen Gibbs, who has produced the likes of All Saints, Maria Lawson, Lara McAllen (Angel City) etc.

It was only in a casual conversation that Anne-Marie mentioned her heritage and that she was fluent in French and Italian.

It was then that Mark suggested that she do some songs in French and Italian, which led on to recording Trance tracks, which are blowing everyone away!

She is currently recording albums of standard French songs and a Dance album, in French and English.

Anne-Marie has promised that if she has a No1 in the Charts that she will run through the streets naked ! Now that’s something to look forward to.
